As you know from our previous blog, most of our students have now started their university courses.
Lesleen is studying Medicine at the University of Zimbabwe, and sent us this report:
Hello Mr and Mrs Albertyn,
I have just completed my first week of lectures at the university. Wow, the load of work is amazingly more than that of A level but there is a lot of freedom too. We first visited the anatomy dissection room on Tuesday, we saw dead people and we even touched their body parts, it was really not as bad as i imagined it would be. I am really enjoying medicine and working hard too.

Ryan is on a full Scholarship at University of TUFTS in America, studying Engineering. His journey to the US is only the second time he has travelled out of Zimbabwe, and the first time he has been on an aeroplane, so this is a big adventure for him!
Hi Mr A,
So happy to be writing this email to you to let you know that I got to Tufts University alright!
I got here on the 24th of August after a 25 hour flight in total form Harare to Boston. I went from Harare to Jo-burg to Atlanta then Boston. Since the 25th of August, things were a bit crazy with International Orientation the immediately after All-First Year Orientation. I started my classes this Tuesday on a good note.
I hope everyone is okay back in Zimbabwe. Please greet Mrs A and Mai Banga for me. Miss the whole bunch like crazy but hopefully will see you all soon. Its only two weeks now and I am already missing sadza.
Ryan
