Donell M

Future Engineer – Donell is the 2^nd born in a family of 3 and stays in Chitungwiza. His father is a driver and his mother is a flea market vendor. Donell is a quiet yet confident young man, who comes from a stable family with strong Christian values. Donell has a very strong liking for the aviation industry. His dream is to study his Major in Aeronautics at university level. He believes that a career in aeronautics will help him come up with ideas that will benefit the country and inspire other students who want to pursue a career in aeronautics and who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Donell is attending school at Hellenic Academy.

Priscilla M

Future Chemical Engineer – Priscilla is a shy but sweet girl who comes from a humble and happy home. She is the 2^nd born in a family of 3. Her father is a driver for a local bakery and her mother is a housewife. The family stay on plot in Tywald in a rented 3 room house. Life has been very difficult for Priscilla’s family but they have persevered in the tough times. These difficult times have taught Priscilla to work hard in order to make a better life for her family and herself. She also wants to empower other girls, especially those who come from rural backgrounds and who face financial challenges. Priscilla is attending school at Hellenic Academy.

Dadiso N

Future Doctor/Surgeon – Dadiso is the 2^nd born in a family of 4. She stays in Crowborough Township. Dadiso comes from a very happy home. Her father is an accounts clerk and her mother is a housewife. Dadiso’s family has faced financial challenges, which have resulted in her missing school many times. This did not deter her but motivated and encouraged her to work even harder to achieve good results. Dadiso aspires to improve the quality of the medical fraternity by becoming a successful surgeon and providing affordable medical care in her community, where clinics, hospitals and doctors are few. Dadiso is studying at Hellenic Academy.

Marshall M

Future Radiologist – Marshall is the 2^nd born in a family of 2 and stays in Chitungwiza. His father is self-employed as a welder but because of the difficult economic situation, he has not been getting jobs. Marshall loves reading motivational and inspirational books so that he can encourage others in tough situations. He loves giving back to his community and is involved in community service projects like visiting the elderly and helping with clean-up campaigns. He was the Vice Chairman of Scripture Union Club. Marshall loves cricket and dreams of becoming a well-recognised cricket player in future. He is studying at St George’s College.

Trust T

Future Civil Engineer – Trust is the first born in a family of 3 and stays in Kuwadzana. His parents are vendors at a local market. Trust loves maths and helps Form 1 students, who struggle in this subject. His love of maths and the art of infrastructural development inspired him to want to become a civil engineer as he will be able to serve his community in infrastructure development. He loves volleyball. He is studying at St George’s College.

Nicole M

Future Chemical Engineer – Nicole is the first born in a family of 4 and stays in Epworth. Her father is unemployed and her mother is a civil servant and the family bread winner. Life has been very tough for them and Nicole’s dream is to work hard and become successful so that she can lessen the financial burden her family faces. She has seen both her mother and grandmother fall ill and not be able to receive proper medical treatment due to lack of money. Nicole is one of the pioneer group of girls studying at St George’s College.

Ropafadzo M

Future Pilot – Ropafadzo is the 2^nd born in a family of 3 and stays in Rugare. Ropafadzo is a delightful girl who comes from a very poor family who has struggled to put food on the table. At some stage, Ropa had to stay with her mother’s friend as her parents had to move to the rural areas because they could not afford to rent a room. Ropa is a bright girl who loves reading, was the Vice President of the Debate Club and loves playing netball. Ropafadzo is also part of the pioneer group of girls studying at St George’s College.

Tanatswa M

Future Biomedical Engineer – Tanatswa is the 1^st born in a family of 3. His father is a teacher and his mother is an urban planner. Tanatwsa is quiet but outgoing and sociable. He loves playing chess, is a great athlete and loves swimming. Tanatswa is studying at Gateway High School.

Melanie C

Future Aeronautical Engineer – Melanie is the 3^rd born in a family of 4 and comes from a happy and stable home. She lives in the rural areas of Seke. Her parents grow vegetables and roast corn which they sell to earn a living but the money has not been enough to sustain the family’s needs. Melanie remained focused in her studies and has excelled. She is hard a working girl, a go-getter and self-driven. She loves socialising and meeting new people. Melanie is studying at Gateway High School.
