Introducing: SAGE – (Supporter Advisory Group & Enablers)
What’s this about?
Makomborero recognises the need to continue evolving to effectively meet these increasingly challenging times and serve the needs of its constituents. This requires not just additional funds, but perhaps more importantly, skills and experiences; a lot of which we, as the UK Trust, realise exists in abundance in the ranks of our supporters.
So what does this mean to you?
Makomborero is keen to tap into this vast pool of resources by identifying those willing and capable to offer ideas, advice and insights into influencing future strategies and delivery plans. We believe this will help expand our capabilities and enhance the support we provide for the activities in Zimbabwe.
So how will it work?
We recognise time is a critical barrier for many whose passion matches that of the trustees. Up to this point the only platform offered, other than giving money, was to serve on the Trust’s board. This, however, limits the valuable contribution your skills and networks could potentially make towards overcoming the challenges faced in Zimbabwe.
With this in mind, we have sought to find a way that allows you to share your skills and networks outside the rigid structure of board membership, and as such we have created the SAGE (Supporter Advisory Group & Enablers) Volunteer group.
If you believe that you have skills or contacts that could help the UK Trust in supporting the work taking place in Zimbabwe, please complete the registration form by clicking the button below and filling in the details. You do not need to be based in the UK as we are happy to take advantage of remote communications.
Please note that at the moment there are no opportunities to volunteer on the ground in Zimbabwe due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Once we have received your registration form, one of the trustees will follow up with you to understand in greater detail how you can help us.
If you have any questions regarding the SAGE Volunteer Group, please email us.
